Can you really see all of that in one day?

Yes, but at pace. Every stop is the shortest version of itself, and you will be moving from 6am to dusk.

Shared boat or private?

A private boat mostly buys you the clock. At USD 800 for the boat against USD 90 a seat, it pays for itself from about nine people — and below that you are buying the departure time, which on this route is worth a lot.

A shared seat on a speedboat is USD 90 per person. Taking the whole speedboat is USD 800 for the boat, for the day. Park and ranger fees sit on top of both.

Is it too much for children?

The Kelor and Padar climbs are the hard parts. Families often drop one and keep the snorkelling, which makes for a much better day.

Will we definitely see mantas?

Sightings run year-round and peak roughly December to February. No operator can promise them, and any that does is telling you something about themselves.
