A boat sailing between the islands of Komodo National Park

BOOKING · SEVEN STEPS

From First Message to Boarding

No booking engine, no cart. A conversation, two or three routes that fit, then a deposit paid straight to the operator. Here is exactly what happens at each step.

Step by step

How a Booking Actually Runs

Most trips are settled inside two days of the first message.

Step 01

Tell us the shape of the trip

Dates, how many of you, and whether you are flying in from Bali or somewhere further. That is enough to start.

Morning
Send dates and group size
Later
Reply, usually same day
Night
Minutes

Step 02

We shortlist two or three routes

Not a catalogue. Two or three itineraries that fit your window, with what each one costs and what it skips.

Morning
Say what matters most
Later
Send options with real prices
Night
Same day

Step 03

You pick the boat

Cabin photos, group size aboard, departure time. This is where a private charter usually gets compared against join-in properly.

Morning
Choose route and vessel
Later
Confirm availability with the operator
Night
A few hours

Step 04

Terms in writing before any money moves

Deposit, balance date, cancellation terms and exactly which fees sit outside the price.

Morning
Read the terms
Later
Put them in writing
Night
Same day

Step 05

Deposit paid to the operator

You pay the operator directly. We do not take payment, which is also why we can tell you when one is not the right fit.

Morning
Pay the deposit
Later
Confirm the booking is held
Night
Same day

Step 06

Confirmation and the pre-trip brief

Itinerary, pickup time, what to pack, and how much cash to carry for park fees.

Morning
Book flights around it
Later
Send the brief
Night
Before departure

Step 07

Departure day

Pickup at your hotel, harbour, boat. If the sea changes the plan, the captain reshuffles and you hear why.

Morning
Be ready early
Later
Stay reachable on WhatsApp
Night
The trip itself

Payment and Cancellation

Terms vary by operator. These are the norms.

How payment usually works

  • A deposit to hold the boat, balance nearer departure
  • Bank transfer in IDR, or card with a surcharge
  • Paid to the operator, never to us
  • Park fees in cash rupiah, on the day

Ask before you pay

  • What the cancellation window actually is
  • What happens if weather cancels a departure
  • Whether the deposit is transferable to another date
  • Which currency the balance is fixed in

Before you commit

Start at Step One

Dates and group size is all we need to begin. Everything after that is a conversation, not a form.
