Do I pay you or the operator?

The operator, always. We are independent and take no payment, which is what lets us tell you when a boat is wrong for your group.

How far ahead should I book?

Two to three months in the dry season, more over Christmas and New Year. Good boats fill first.

What if the weather cancels my trip?

Most operators reschedule or refund the boat portion. Park fees already paid are usually not refundable. Get the specific policy in writing before the deposit.

Can I book flights before the boat is confirmed?

Do not. Confirm the boat and the departure date first, then book flights around it — especially on the 7-day route, which flies home from a different airport.

Is travel insurance necessary?

Strongly recommended. Boat trips get cancelled by sea conditions, and the flight into Labuan Bajo is weather-sensitive.
